Layered Apple Slice Cake
This apple slice cake is loved for its soft, airy layers and natural apple flakiness. Thinly sliced apples melt into the batter, creating a beautifully layered, rustic texture without any special techniques. It’s simple, cozy, and always tastes like home.

Ingredients:
-Eggs — 4 large
-Sugar — 200 g (1 cup)
-Sour cream — 130 g (about ½ cup)
-Milk — 130 ml (½ cup)
-Melted butter — 130 g (about ⅔ cup)
-All-purpose flour — 200 g (1⅔ cups)
-Baking powder — 1 heaping tsp (7–8 g)
-Apples — 5 medium (thinly sliced)
-Ground cinnamon — to taste
-Extra butter or oil — for greasing the pan
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
1. Grease your baking pan with a little melted butter or oil, or line it with parchment paper.
2.In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light and slightly foamy.

3.Add sour cream, milk, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
4.Stir in the flour and baking powder until a smooth batter forms.

5. Thinly slice the apples.

6. In the prepared pan, layer:
- A layer of apples
- A layer of batter
- Another layer of apples
- Finish with the remaining batter
7. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top.

8.Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden.
9.Let the cake cool for at least 20–30 minutes before slicing.
It may look slightly moist or underbaked inside — that’s normal! It’s just the juicy apples. The cake is fully baked and deliciously tender.
