Cuisine: American, european, Italian

Ingredients

Shrimp
  • 1 lb cooked peeled shrimp thawed
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Butter
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves halved
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

Method

Step 1
  1. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely. Pat them very dry with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible.
  2. If needed, trim the wooden skewers to fit your skillet. Thread 5 shrimp onto each skewer, making 6 shrimp kabobs.
Step 2
  1. Evenly sprinkle one side of the shrimp with the Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Carefully flip each skewer over and season the other side.
Step 3
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the shrimp kabobs into the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, then flip and cook for 1 more minute. Since the shrimp are already cooked, avoid cooking them longer or they may become rubbery.
Step 4
  1. Meanwhile, place the butter, garlic cloves, and Italian seasoning in a small microwave-safe bowl. Loosely cover the bowl with plastic wrap to prevent the butter from splattering inside the microwave. Microwave for 30 seconds, or until the butter is melted. Stir to combine.
Step 5
  1. Transfer the shrimp kabobs to a serving platter and spoon the warm garlic butter over the top. Serve immediately.
