Crispy Air Fryer Cauliflower with Parmesan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium head cauliflower cut into medium florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika smoked paprika recommended
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • –½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: chili flakes Italian seasoning, or dried oregano

Method
 

Prepare the cauliflower
  1. Cut the cauliflower into even, medium-sized florets.
  2. If the cauliflower was washed, make sure it is completely dry. Moisture is the main reason cauliflower turns soft instead of crispy.
  3. Tip: Dry florets thoroughly with a kitchen towel or let them air-dry for a few minutes.
Season
  1. Place the cauliflower in a large bowl.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  3. Toss until the florets are lightly coated, not drenched in oil.
Air fry
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Air fry for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even browning.
Add Parmesan
  1. Remove the basket and sprinkle the cauliflower evenly with grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Return to the air fryer and cook for 3–5 more minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden and the edges are crispy.
Serve immediately
  1. Serve hot while the cauliflower is at peak crispiness.
