Invisible Apple Cake (Ultra Moist & Easy)

This Invisible Apple Cake is one of those cozy recipes that feels much more special than the effort it takes to make. Thin apple slices melt into a light custard-style batter, creating an ultra soft, moist, and delicate cake with incredible texture in every bite.

My kids especially love helping prepare the thin apple slices for this dessert, which makes it feel extra cozy and homemade in our kitchen. It’s lightly sweet, simple to make, and perfect with coffee, tea, or fresh berries.

Sometimes my kids love making something on their own, and when I don’t want the whole kitchen to turn into a mess but still want fresh homemade baking, they make this recipe 5-Minute Strawberry Mug Cake

If you love fresh homemade baking in the morning but usually don’t have much time, try making these Banana Oat Bread the night before and simply reheating them in the microwave or air fryer in the morning. They’re delicious, filling, and made without sugar. I love adding fresh berries on top in the morning.

1. Grease your baking pan with a little melted butter or oil, or line it with parchment paper.

                Notes

                Common Mistakes to Avoid

                • Cutting the apples too thick — the cake won’t get that soft layered texture.
                • Using overly juicy or soft apples that release too much liquid.
                • Overbaking the cake, which can make it dry instead of soft and custardy.
                • Skipping parchment paper if your baking dish tends to stick.
                • Slicing the cake while it’s still very hot, which can make it fall apart.
